To encourage collaborative and multidisciplinary research, the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, Xiamen University (MEL) launched the Visiting Fellowship Program in 2009, which provides support for visiting scholars to conduct collaborative research in Xiamen for 1-6 months.
Supported fields
Research in the general area of marine environmental sciences and other interdisciplinary questions with which MEL is concerned.
Requirements
The applicant must have a PhD degree.
The applicant must have a MEL faculty collaborative partner in place prior to applying.

Support
Travel expenses and accommodations, laboratories and office facilities, monthly allowances (15,000-50,000 CNY before tax), and a research fund (Young Scientish Visiting Fellowship only) are provided.
