On March 31st, 2022, The 14th University Consortium on Aquatic Sciences (UCAS) concluded. It was co-organized by National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Xiamen University, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU).
Under the theme of “Planet or Plastic”, the 4-day consortium involved discussions of biogeochemistry, ecology and biodiversity, ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment and management, fisheries and aquaculture, and underwater technology. Activities such as keynote lectures, personal presentations and workshops and poster presentations were provided to bridge participants from different regions and countries.
